Madhya Pradesh (hindī: मध्य प्रदेश, IPA: [məd̪ʰjə prəd̪e ː ʃ]) is frequently called the “Indian Heart”. It is a state in central India. The state capital is Bhopal. Before November 2000, Madhya Pradesh was the largest Indian state but after that date, it was divided into two parts of Madhya Pradesh and the new state of Chhattisgarh. Madhya Pradesh is bordered by Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.
